We're celebrating

Grandma turns 90, it's been a long time since the family got together. Juana and her sisters had already been busy with preparations for weeks, and to make matters worse the WATER HEATER broke down. Everything had to be ready by the EXACT HOUR.
Grandma dressed like in the old days, she even put on makeup, when the grandchildren arrived and saw her they couldn't hold back their laughter, but they had to admit she looked beautiful.
The meal was a total success, they ate till they burst, only Laura didn't want to try the desserts Grandma made because she said: «If I start I'll eat everything and leave nothing for the rest of you, besides I'm watching my weight». At toast time the little ones acted like animals set loose. Grandma toasted to this NEW TIME lasting a while longer even though she doesn't know how to dance the CHA CHA. The young ones lifted her out of her chair and taught her a few dance steps, Grandma's laughter lit up her face. Everyone held onto her, afraid she might fall. But it was Juancito who nearly fell, trying to be funny, but that's just how he is, himself first and the rest of the world after.
It was already dawn when people started to leave, happy about the gathering and having shared a family reunion without a hitch.
When no one was left Juana walked Grandma to her bedroom and there, on the nightstand, was the Bible, Grandma picked it up and said: «My girl, you always have to be grateful for what God gives us, and at 90 years old with this family it deserves a prayer».
