Destiny

It was written, it had to happen. Alberto, 12 years old, Rosita, 10, every day they crossed paths on the little path that took them to school, him to the boys' school, her to the girls' school. The schools were on the same block, it was a love without words, they had never spoken, they looked at each other as they passed. Each one dreamed separately.

But one morning Rosita was knocked over by a group of kids who pushed her against a house that had an iron fence covered in honeysuckle, its scent stayed with her a long time, tied to the memory of what happened next. Alberto came closer, put his hand in hers, just like that, hand in hand, and helped her up. One looked at the other, they didn't speak but from then on they greeted each other when they crossed paths.

Both were shy, they felt embarrassed to dream, it was a young love's dream, and so Rosita, every time she sees a honeysuckle plant, remembers that first love and that dream, waiting for the day you'll love me. But destiny was written, the longing and the wish for a better life pushed Alberto to try several ventures, but it was always downhill for him. Rosita opened a real estate agency, it went well for her.

One day a young man came to offer himself for work there, there was a sign in the window asking for an employee. When she saw him her heart skipped a beat, she asked him what the reason for his visit was, he was left speechless recognizing his young love's dream. They found each other again, he came to work with her and one day they went together to walk the little path of their dreams, but the honeysuckle wasn't there anymore, in its place there was an orange tree in bloom, and on the way back a drizzle crowned them.

Today the family celebrates their young love's dream.
