A town where nothing ever happens

He killed himself, he killed himself, they killed him, they killed him, the town where nothing ever happens was in an uproar. José López, whose nickname was Yetatore, was the reason. His life had been one misfortune after another, his mother went mad after his birth. Different relatives raised him. His grandmother died when he was 6, and from then on his friends called him Yetatore. He got married, and not long after his wife ran off with a traveling salesman who passed through town from time to time. He'd recently been let go from his job, which was why the town assumed it was a suicide.

The truth only came out several days later. The town's police chief, one afternoon very nicely turned out in his new uniform, appeared on a TV channel. With the air of an important man, looking at the cameras he announced: we have managed to clear up this painful event that happened to José López, a citizen of this town. The gentleman was invited by his friend Luis Soto (who, as you'll remember, is from this town) to his house in Mar del Plata, he looked at the cameras, took a sip of water and continued, to cheer him up he invited him to the Casino and there gave him some chips, with which Mr. López won what he'd never dreamed of, a million pesos.

The next day, after generously paying back what had been lent to him, he took the train to return home. Of course he traveled in a super pullman car because he was carrying a lot of money… He paused, creating suspense. But fate played him a cruel trick. As you all know there are social misfits who, when the train stops, climb aboard and rob the passengers, and so poor López lost all his money and, with it, sadly, his will to live. Eyewitnesses stated they saw him throw himself in front of the train. This police chief offers his condolences to the family and friends of citizen López.
