My eyes

My eyes speak, they say what I feel. My eyes light up when I'm happy, they throw sparks when I get angry.
My eyes smile at the presence of a child, they caress him, they speak to him.
My eyes cry in the face of pain and the loss of loved ones, my own or other people's. But my eyes don't work alone, they need a brain and a heart to go along with them.
I remember once seeing a film that made me cry inconsolably, it was called "Where Words Die." Now I think, where there are no words there's a caress, a hug, a look that can say more than many words. Eyes speak, many times we ask a friend "How are you?", fine, they answer, but their eyes betray them and we know it isn't so and we hug them. How I'd love to see every pair of eyes shine with joy, especially children's, then the world would be better.
