A lovely dream

Mom, mom, how great, I scored a goal, now I'm at the zoo, they're explaining the animals to me, I give a cookie to the monkey, the teacher says "Don't feed the animals."
What luck, I'm the flag bearer, everyone congratulates me, mom and dad proud, I'm happy, I'm glad.
We go to the planetarium, I see the stars, I climb onto one and from way up high I fall... mom... mom... help...
"What happened to you? Son, you had a nightmare."
I wake up in mom's arms, I still can't quite figure out what happened to me, I was so happy, in my dream I was the hero in everything and right at the best part I fall off a star...
Luckily I always have someone to calm me down. Now, time to get up and study (ugh)... so that someday I'll be flag bearer or escort, they'll be proud either way.
But how lovely it is to dream...
