Trust

Trust, trusting is at one end and at the other end is distrust, disappointment, failure, pain. Both extremes lie along the road of life.
Trust in oneself is the necessary door to success. I'll tell the story of a young man who wanted to be a singer. No one believed in him, only his mother, who trusted him fully and knew that her son had a great deal of self-confidence and that this would help him. He hired a singing teacher who after a while told him «You bark like a dog, you'll never become a singer, your style isn't what young people like nowadays, you're a romantic, you sound like a girl singing», he answered him «only women can be romantic and sing boleros and waltzes».
His mother, hiding it from her husband and her other children, helped him travel to Spain. There he managed to get into an orchestra and his success was astonishing. Many wondered how they hadn't seen this young man's potential when he used to perform.
He came back, now with his wife and his son, to embrace his mother, the only one who had trust in him and helped him so much. Trust is won, but it cannot be bought.
